More information about giving
Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever. 2 Chronicles 20
In 2 Chronicles 20 we read of Jehoshaphat, King of Judah in 850 B.C. There were three armies marching on his kingdom, and he had no real hope of defeating them; this is what he did: Jehoshaphat called the nation together, and they prayed. God then told them not to fear or be discouraged because the battle belonged to Him, not them. He promised that the Lord would be with them. The whole nation sang songs of praise and thanksgiving, trusting God and His words of deliverance!
In each challenge, remember His enduring love for every circumstance. And then acknowledge His power and faithfulness with a thankful heart. Trust God and stand on His amazing grace remembering the finished work of redemption and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. And then express gratitude to God, in advance, for what He will do.
For over 40 years, Upton Lake Christian School has been providing students with a Christ-centered education of spiritual and academic excellence. We are passionate regarding our mission and remain committed to our role in assisting parents with the education of their children.
As an independent school, ULCS depends upon the generosity of donors to advance our mission. We need to raise funds to bridge the gap between the tuition our student families pay, and the actual higher cost of educating these students.
There are many ways to contribute to ULCS and each contribution makes a difference. We strive to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us and also pray for His guidance in all aspects of our work. Thank you for your interest in partnering with us. We are excited about what is ahead and welcome your comments and support.
Every gift to ULCS makes a difference, and we are grateful for your support!
TUITION ASSISTANCE FUND
The Tuition Assistance Fund at Upton Lake Christian School exists to extend the blessing of an excellent Christian private education to families who would not otherwise be able to afford to pay tuition in full. Using the model of the disciples in Acts 4:35, the administration of the school allocates a portion of its resources to families demonstrating financial need. As a result, our community consists of a broad array of students from varying socioeconomic backgrounds.
Under IRS regulations, direct gifts to individuals are not tax-deductible. Gifts to the school’s Tuition Assistance Fund, however, are tax-deductible as long as they are made to meet the needs of any family in need of financial assistance to send their child to Upton Lake Christian School.
UNDESIGNATED GIFTS
Undesignated gifts are most welcome by ULCS. Undesignated gifts are those in which the donor has not requested that the money given be used for any specific purpose, nor has the donor given any guidelines or restrictions for its use. Instead, the donor has given Upton Lake permission to use the funds wherever they are most needed, which allows ULCS to fill current or pressing needs and to fund special projects as they arise during the fiscal year.
MATCHING GIFTS
Many companies offer a Matching Gift Program. Be sure to ask if a portion of the contributions you make to ULCS can be matched by your employer. Some employers will even match your donation dollar for dollar! Please submit all paperwork to Beth Coon, our business manager at beth.coon@guidetohairlossproducts.com
DESIGNATED GIFTS, INCLUDING OUR BUILDING FUND
Sometimes God will put a specific area of giving on your heart. For instance, ULCS has funds for our new high school building, financial aid, development, athletics, technology, and facilities. We welcome your support in whatever way the Lord may be leading you!
